Why Personalise Coffins?

More and more of us are choosing to go out in a splash of colour, we want choices — even in death — rather than a cookie cutter approach to commiseration.

"Death is always an unwelcome experience. We avoid it as much as we can. When death happens, we wonder "what type of coffin they want? What should we do? What's appropriate at the time?" We believe that a good funeral is the beginning of a healthy grief process."

Increasingly, families are moving away from the traditional morbid wooden coffin and opting for the more personalised & colourful tribute coffin to remembering loved ones and honouring the life they lived. Traditional wooden coffins magnify grief, personalised coffins provide comfort.

You'll be surprised how a few treasured photo's on a coffin can tell a wonderful story about your loved one. Our innovative approach and personal service helps families celebrate the life of their loved one in a unique and special way. From design through to production, we do a wonderful job at helping make a sad time more bearable.

  • Transfer after office hours or further than 80km from Rockhampton or Emerald will be an additional cost.

  • These prices are valid until June 2023.

$1.33 per km from where our facility is based

POA – We have a wide range of urns that differ in pricing.

Disclosures
Rockhampton Facility: Our council-approved mortuary is located at 187 Musgrave Street, Berserker, QLD 4701. This facility is owned by Fitzroy Funerals, family-owned and operated.

Emerald Facility: Our council-approved storage facility is located at 2/115 Roberts Street, Emerald, QLD 4720. This facility is owned by Fitzroy Funerals, family-owned and operated.​

Your dearly departed loved one will be respectfully dressed in our Rockhampton facility and remain in the care of our Rockhampton staff and will not be transported from there until the day of the funeral service in Rockhampton and surroundings and the day before the funeral service in Emerald and surroundings. Fitzroy Funerals does not charge families for transporting their loved ones from Emerald to Rockhampton (and back) for mortuary care.

Loving and Devoted Wife to Keith (Dec’d) Adored Mother and Mother-In-Law to Dale, Lee and Robert, Julie and Bradley, Russell and Melissa, Evan and Tammy. Adored Grandma, Great Grandma and Great Great Grandma to their respective families.
